The
Inn at Storybook Glen A
taste of life with no traffic,
no timetable, and
no TV
Storybook Glen, a bed and breakfast inn, caters to those who want a stay in the
backcountry with up-town accomodations. Located in the Boston Mountains, the
Inn at Storybook Glen is situated on eighty wooded acres located 55 miles southeast
of Fayetteville off Highway 16, 3 miles into the Ozark National Forrest Long
standing tradition leaves no room for TV at the glen. All entertainment and recreation
is derived from taking advantage of the natural wonders and activities found in
abundance.
There are extensive gardens on the grounds built as a cutting garden, but also
with the viewing public in mind.
There
are walking paths and hiking trails on the grounds and throughout the National
Forrest.
There
are scenic wonders - waterfalls, cliffs, caves, rock formations, flora and fauna-
not to mention the panaramic views of hills and hollers folding in on one another
as far as the eye can see. It is truly awesome.
Canoeing
can be enjoyed on the nearby Mulberry River, offering about 40 miles of good canoeing,
kayaking, and rafting when the river is high.
Horse
training and trail riding can be observed or participated in, with the oportunity
for private instruction. Rappelling and climbing is available and offered as
introductory level training for those inexperienced. We do not use extreme technique. The
tabs at the top left side of the page and the links at the bottom will take you
