Location
Storybook Glen is situated on eighty wooded acres located 55 miles southeast of Fayetteville 3 miles off Highway 16. Take a look at the google map below that will scroll in all directions from Storybook Glen. There is a needed correction on the map however or you'll get confused. Google shows county road # 106 which is an error. That correct road number is 4845.

to follow US-71 S - 5.6 mi

Once you get past Pettigrew:
1. Turn right on county road 4845 and go about 1 1/2 miles.
2. Turn right on private road 4785 just before mail boxes (one all yellow).
3. Turn left at bottom of short (maybe 300 yds.) narrow hill.
4. Continue
until the road ends at Storybook Glen another 1 1/2 miles.
Be sure to clock
the mileage on your odometer. Distances are deceiving. You may think you have
gone further than you really have.
If you have a very low slung
car, be sure to drive slowly and carefully down the last switch back hill. We
have taken a Honda CRX down it - but slowly and carefully. If you want to have
someone meet you for the last little bit of the distance, so that you can travel
down the glen's hill in a higher car, be sure and call from Fayetteville (no cell
phone coverage out in the hill country) and we will arrange to meet you and shuttle
you in.
The map below shows hwy 16 as straight. We out here know never to believe something like that. Look for the small road signs for 4845. Also the map below has a mistake. "County Road" 4785 is really "Private Road" 4785.
